There comes a time in one’s life when we need to recall that time when we were filled with wonder and joy, a time when Hallmark movies, Norman Rockwell illustrations, or the rose covered cottages in paintings by: Thomas Kincaid soothed us even when knowing that everyday life is far from the romantic view depicted. In art we find delight in depictions of highly idealized scenes, of hens with fluffy chicks peacefully pegging around for worms- not a single hawk in sight. When we felt on top of the world and quite beautiful in our prom dress and later- in ball gowns at opera season premiers. When fashion was pure fun- So in this series of ‘The Lighter Side Of Life’ I aim to bring you delight in simply pretty notions, where wearing a fluffy long white dress while gathering produce is not impossible.
